Winches and line tools
Built for tower erection, stringing of low and medium voltage overhead lines, underground cabling and general lifting work. Every machine can be customised to a client's requirement.
Specifications on request
We build these to order and are happy to send drawings and full specifications. Tell us the capacity and the application and we will send the right sheet.
Why every BMC winch has a negative brake
A negative brake will not allow the load to come down until the automatic brake is released. On a tower erection job, that is the difference between a controlled lift and a dropped one.
Our 5 ton machines also carry an automatic safety clamp and a grooved shaft that stops the steel wire rope overlapping on the capstan. These are not options — they are fitted as standard, because the machine is replacing a practice the industry should have stopped years ago: using agricultural tractors to erect transmission towers.
